rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

they probably just picked something random. as ayrt said, people in DWRP don't actually use the profile location to indicate where their character is from and nobody really pays attention to that. maybe it's different on IJ or tumblr or whatever, but here the profile doesn't have anything to do with the actual character and is more about the player.

Yeah a South Korean character should not list North Korea as their location sorry.

unless they're playing a south korean character i don't see why it matters. but if that's what you're getting at then big yikes because someone should know the difference between the dprk and the rok in that case.

if it's a historical character that might not even have been a thing. or they simply put in the wrong info. mistakes happen. unless it affects their play, who cares?

if it was a historical character, then they'd just be from korea. if you think not knowing the difference between the dprk and the rok isn't a big deal, then you really need to use the internet for something other than rp.

dprk and rok are two very very different things and what op is saying is if they don't know the difference then it probably DOES affect their play of that character

The other anon got it right: this is a SOUTH KOREAN character and if you don't know the difference between DPRK and ROK you won't even be playing the character right. So "who cares?" indeed.
