Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.

(Anonymous) 2020-05-16 11:54 am (UTC)(link)other anons are right about his character varying a lot between movies so you have some wiggle room which can be good in a game. i do veer toward ragnathor because he's just really fun.
i would say in a game setting the best thing about thor is that he's relatively adaptable without sacrificing his core beliefs/inclinations and he's a friendly helper by nature.
he expresses an interest in people and the things they do. he's very observant in many ways, but can sometimes develop tunnel visions and fixations because of a sense of duty.
he's stupid like a fox. he's not opposed to acting obtuse to gain insight or solely to rile someone up. sometimes he is genuinely a personified sack of bricks, and that's generally because of tunnel vision. he's referenced a bit of schooling and a natural curiosity.
again, this guy is adaptable. he picks up on modern earth vernacular and i think he delights in using slang occasionally. the fish out of water trick gets old but there's still room for thor to learn new things and remark upon them.
he's a really warm person, when you're in good with thor you are in. this doesn't have to be OTT I HUGETH YOU DEAR FRIEND but he isn't shy about a hand on the shoulder or a smile or an uplifting compliment. he wants the best for his friends. he can also bond pretty easily with people.
he's loyal to a fault because he's loyal in like 200 places at once (let's not talk about how he has learned and unlearned the lesson about his obligations and duties again and again, thank you endgame). i think he's well aware of what he is and what he's capable of but not fully aware of the fact that he's the saviour of the world but he can't be the savior of every world (and that some
brothersthings are beyond saving).honestly i would say he is a little bit of a flake. he's the guy that RSVPs yes to everything and then spontaneously leaves town for the weekend.
he's still very a very proud guy and that pride gets wounded, he just bounces back a bit faster now. he still has a bit of a temper that can flare for various reasons to varying degrees.
anyway, hope that helped!! i've been out of the game for a while but thor is a character i miss a lot and i love talking about him. again he's kind of a character with wiggle room because he's suffered a bit from different interpretations in MCU. i find stone faced, brooding thor the least compelling but ymmv.
