That one confuses me. Why would you play half of canon ship and then say no to the other half.

i can understand this, some canon ships are just really poorly written. i once played one half of a canon ship and when someone apped the other half in they were thrilled to find out that i didn't ship it because they hated it too. we agreed that we didn't want to play it out and let our characters do their own thing in game and we both eventually ended up with crosscanon ships instead.

because they're rping to explore different scenarios instead of regurgitating canon? because they don't like how the ship is written? because you can think a character would be really cool to play without including the elements from canon that you don't like? there are plenty of reasons and i think it's pretty rude to try to drag a player for clearly stating their preferences to this other player who's just coming here to try to find something they want to rp.

yeah they can do what they want and it's understandable why they'd find the character an interesting concept but not like the elements of the ship

chise player shouldn't be passive aggressive about it with anons either

There are a ton of reasons why someone might want to. The canon ship could be badly written and they take some personal issue with that, they might want to explore other crosscanon options, they might play one half of the ship at an early point in canon where they get together with the other half, etc.

Just because a ship is canon and you play one half of it doesn't mean you're entitled to it.
