Wishful thinking. What kind of events would fellow anons like to see for this game?

i'd love something that gives characters a tangible short term goal and the chance to push a bit more interaction with strangers. so, maybe the local fauna is suffering as a result of all the recent cataclysms and the moonblessed are divided into groups: some to find animals in danger, others to moonlace and care for the ones found, another to take down any monsters that appeared after the flood or whatever. or maybe an excursion into the areas sealed by crystal, allowing characters to find some clues or undo some damage. hell, i'll even take a failed trip to learn more about majestas.

i don't think any of this would require the mods playing any npcs actively, or doing more than outlining 'x can be done/found/undone' in the write up. i'm down for basically anything that isn't 'now you have to hold hands with your cr, because no one else would care you're mind controled'.

I agree I think a plot that has a short term goal and expands the world and lore would be great. It would also be nice to not know the conclusion of the plot upfront.

I'm enjoying this game's setting and the people in it, so some events that encourage characters to come together in groups for a common goal could be fun.

Monthly plots are usually broken into 2 parts, starting with the tdm (existing players can use tdm prompts in their own logs). Some plot lines span over several months. Elements of lore from months ago often get pulled in as well.

Small groups might get logistically complicated, simply because of the size of the game, if the mods had to organize them.

There are ways to do small groups that don't require mods to organize them. They can be self-run by the players according to general guidelines included in the event info post. I have seen these executed very well in other games and would love to see them crop up here, especially as an alternative to combat fights against NPCs.

i agree. as long as there's a framework or reason for people to group up, i think players can step up and handle that aspect without calling on the mods.

while there are two main monthly events, i've found in some months they're less concrete opportunities for players to engage with, but more along the lines of: tdm event outlines the big monthly challenge, leaving some room for characters to react (never really to drive the event, but again, appreciate mods might be targeting lower mod-commitment events); then the second part is the equivalent of a write-up of a video cutscene, with some mind control action (so characters can nominally participate, but effectively not change the result).

i really want to stress, i understand mods might not have the availability to do plots where the (in this case, huge) playerbase affects the plot too much, it would just be great to have more chances for characters to engage with the plot.

I like the tension brewing between the native Prismals against the Moonblessed. It would be great to see more of that being implemented, without another mind control subplot. We already have the moons affecting the way our characters behave so I would like to see the plots lean into that instead, where the moon’s effects get even more intense than usual.

Any event that uses the moon cycles or showcases the effects and changes the moonblessed generating chroma would be great.

Normal: a big festival or bazar, I'm a sucker for simple with good hooks for CR.

Horny: ABO prompt/mating season since it's spring.
