Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

have you ever been so frustrated by a castmate's inactivity that when they finally do tag you, you don't want to thread with them anymore?

this is the first time they've tagged anything in over a month, and i know they'll just drop the thread after dragging it on for a week. i wish they'd just hurry and drop the game jfc.

I feel like this could be me and I'm really sorry, anon. :( I probably should drop, tbh, but I keep thinking "this month will be better!" and then no it isn't.

Try leaving them activity crit, maybe? They might not realize it's a huge problem for their castmates.

I recommend crit, anon. Tell her it's because you like her character that you want her to step up her activity. I had a castmate who was just completely stupid about this, I'm talking a year or more of being practically nonexistent in the game. I finally sent her a nicely-worded "if you don't want to play, why are you here?" and she really shaped up and stayed that way.

i did the same as you, anon. same line or thinking too, since they used to be really ic. now they're so inactive they've become ooc, and they still aren't improving with their activity.

I did this, my castmate said, "You're right! I'll do better!" and then vanished off the face of the earth without dropping. :(

all the time. it got so bad that I dropped because having a yoyo castmate was just way too much frustration to deal wtih.

yup. it's a sucky feeling to actually want someone to drop, but on the other hand, when their inactivity is making it hard for you to play, when you're tired of excuses and empty promises to do better... it's easier to just get it over with so your character can go through the motions of loss and you can move on. and/or work to get someone more active in.
