rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

cyberpunk sex game where the futuristic world's economy is centered around sex. government sponsored sex clubs and shit like that. sex workers are well respected. sort of the kind of respect people would give policemen or firemen. Sex work is considered an important public service.

Man, this sounds interesting. I like the idea of having activity centered around sex threads, too.

Would this be an AU game?

It could go either way!

one idea i had is the population of this future is starting to die off and they start pulling people from other dimensions. Or some wacky shit like that. I admit i would like to see canon character reactions to a world like that.

then the AU would have the characters already in with world's beliefs. It would make an easy transition for a lot of characters but--

I don't think everyone would like my idea of everyone from the world having no concept of the extremes of the kinsey scale. Everyone being right in the middle and willing to be with anyone who turns them on and makes them happy.

Then I thought about having both be appable options. You could play canon or an AU of that universe.

Both options seems like the best! Allowing people to be apped in would be more accessible to most of DWRP, but there's a lot of people out there who are hankering for a good AU game. Plus, I'd love to work out how my straightlaced characters would change if they grew up in a world with this kind of mentality.
