Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.

Same hat! I have nothing but fond memories of my time in LJ rp ( panfandom rps have always been something I missed, and Tumblr rp never could compare ), which is why I want to jump into DWRP. I missed the CR and just being able to interact with so many different muses from different fandoms. Even fandoms I'm not familiar with!

Oh!! Thank you very much! I'll see about making a journal and jumping in there... I'm also balking on making my journal pretty, but that's just something I'm gonna have to spend time researching. Is Bakerstreet OC friendly?

just make sure you have some info about your OC's background and personality and I think you'll find it pretty friendly for the most part, especially if you proactively tag top-levels. most people who don't want to play with OCs say so upfront.

the only thing that makes me not want to play with OCs is either 0 information about them in the journal or some tl;dr shit that I ain't got time to read lol

Awesome! That sounds great! My OC has been around the block on Tumblr, and I refuse to really throw her into things without making a journal all pretty. It's the artist in me. I gotta do icons and stuff. I'm excited to get started eventually now! Thank you. <3

no problem! you don't have to make your journal fancy! just make sure you post info about your character. people are more likely to tag you if they have an idea what your character is like. so, even a quick summary will help.

i see OCs getting tagged! i tag them myself, too. try to tag out to other characters, though. don't just top level and wait around.

Cross-canon CR was a huge adjustment for me so you're already a step ahead!! I had always played in single fandom games.

Thank you! I tried talking to my friends about potential cross-canon games on here and they all kind of balked at it, aha. It's something a lot of people have to get used to sometimes. ;w; I started off in single fandom when I was in LJ, then gradually got into panfandom games.

dear_mun and

dear_player are both pretty dead these days save for a handful of regulars who visit both. the former was abandoned by its mod.

bakerstreet is the big place for memes, where an individual post has different prompts/scenarios centered on a theme, people post empty top-level comments for their characters (sometimes with preferences wrt the meme itself), and you can shop around and throw a scenario from the top-post at a character.

they can be hit or miss in terms of whether someone will tag you or tag back, but i find i have better luck being the person who tags out than the one waiting for a tag.
