Plenty of races look silly casting spells. Did they really think worgen females winding up like a pitcher wasn't ridiculous? Or pandaren ones looking like a cat scratching around in the litter? Or the migraine headache night elf and nightborne males apparently get while casting?

So really they don't have a good reason why Kul Tirans can't be mages.
