this is a series where magic swords possess people and turn them into monsters. also there's a canon cyborg in yoshimitsu (a clockwork/steam powered cyborg, but still). a mana-powered robot is really not outside the question. in general, i'm not into forcing people to change their character's form to fit a setting that plays fast and loose with its own rules on anachronisms.
as for the network, it will probably be tied into the shards. idk if i mentioned it above, but every character receives a shard from their respective faction's sword. so a form of magical communication network will probably be tied to that. it's not something shown in canon, but i don't really care if it is or isn't shown in canon, either.
in general, i wanna make the setting work for DWRP, not force DWRP into an SC sized hole.
