Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

i started out skipping all the dialogue on the mobage though. pretty sure i can go back and read the stories but are the conversations gone forever? are they important at all

I just experienced a conversation showing up that I've already been through for a character I was fairly certain I'd seen every possible convo for, so I'm going to say that they'll start repeating once you've done all the other options. They'll show up on the overworld map but won't have the new label in the actual location.

As for importance, YMMV. Some give some cute insight into the relationships between characters who don't interact much outside of event stories, tidbits on their home lives, etc. They're cute as heck too so why would you not want to read them, anon!!

what anon above me said, though for rp canon review/shipping purposes you can also check out https://bangdreaming.tumblr.com/convo/ which collates conversations for each character. it seems like quite a complete listing, and certainly easier than waiting for a particular conversation to show up again.

while we're at it though, the en translation is pretty impressive imho. there are still a few occasional hiccups, but nothing so glaringly awful/insensitive/inaccurate that might result in unhappiness like the translations for sif or fgo got. i'm thankful for that.

what happened with the sif translation? i've noticed while playing en that some of them are kind of wtf but was there something crazy out there at some point?

i play on jp more than en, but some time ago, there was backlash when people discovered that the translation removed or toned down suggestions at shipping between the girls, while also implying the player character was male. note that otonokizaka and uranohoshi are both all-girls' schools and so a male pc doesn't make sense.

there were complaints. some players moved to jp, which has more stories already out and more freebies anyway. a patch for en "fixed" the translations with some release notes about making the text truer to the original or some such nonsense.
