Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.

That irrational feeling that nobody's going to play with me because only one person tagged me on the test drive, even though there could be any number of reasons for that, though my mind keeps landing on my prompts weren't interesting enough or I wasn't IC enough because plenty of other people got more threads.

Dumb, I know. Truly an RP woe.

i have had a bit of this in the past. in my case i pinpointed it to two causes:

i was playing from an older canon; everyone else on the TDM was playing from one of the newer, shinier ones;
and most people on the TDM were tagging people they knew from other games or circles, whereas i was brand new to dw. as much as we say we hate cliques over here, it's an unfortunate truth that there are loads of them.

if your canon isn't super popular, or you don't have a lot of plurk friends or whatever, it might not be a reflection on your playing. also, i find that while responses may be lukewarm on the TDM, once you're in the actual game cr comes easier.
