Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. what do you mean, anon? the :re anime specifically, or tokyo ghoul in general?

I rped from the series for over a year and enjoyed it at the time, but my personal disagreements with how it's been handled late in the :re manga has really put some distance between it & me. which sucks! it used to be my favorite currently-updating manga xx;

I used to rp from both og tg and :re and had some great experiences with canon and cross-canon shenanigans but the writing after a certain point really put me off and it faded into the back. I love the early :re days though so the anime is really hyping me up and bringing back memories of the good old days, lmao

anon it makes me happy to know that there are other people out there suffering with this. i've discussed it with quite a few people but i don't really know what happened with ishida here. i thought og tokyo ghoul was great, early :re was something new and kinda ambitious but mostly great, but it just kinda started to slide off the back of the truck ever since the end of the cochlea arc imo

it's just a huge bummer. i miss being hype about this series

(though admittedly the anime does look surprisingly good, which feels like some kind of dark and twisted irony as the first few anime runs didn't impress me, but ya gotta take what ya get i suppose)
