ughhh of course i caught up to this mid boss battle. i have no idea what's going on right now and it honestly feels like nothing is happening.

what did toga, twice and compress even do? what the hell is grandfather time doing with aizawa? is mirio dead or what? why are three full chapters of screaming and flashbacks needed?

mirio isn't dead, but he's reached his limit since his quirk was permanently erased after a really grueling battle. so he's not physically dead, but his dreams are so he's emotionally dead right now

- toga and twice lured the girls to where the overhaul fight was so they could fuck it up. toga disguised herself as izuku. twice created a clone of mr compress to bring with them, and they're planning to capture eri with his ability as their biggest "fuck you" to overhaul. presumably they're going to crop back up next chapter

- grandfather time is holding down aizawa as a kidnappee until overhaul returns to pick him up. this group is interested in quirks that erase, aizawa's would probably be useful backup research material since eri's basically a lost cause at this point

- mirio's definitely still alive. no point in killing him right after nuking his quirk, he's already at his plenty lowest point. anon above already explained

- we haven't had chapters of pure flashbacks though? maybe im being lenient since im coming into this after the likes of bleach and naruto's actual solid chapters of flashbacks, but each new chapter has been progressing the story in very much current time. it's all very dramatic and shouting, yes, but mha has never advertised itself as anything but shounen played straight. if you're getting that impatient, waiting a few weeks between new chapters so you have more content to read might be best for you idk
