This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. it's just the anon thing, it makes it easier for people to be dicks, and the question comes off as somewhat weird for those of us who've been around for a long time

like ayrt said, for some things it's just better to ask on plurk

to answer your clarified question: for huge tonal shifts, a lot of people go for humor. other people just choose not to tag characters they don't feel they'd be able to deal with easily.

there are a lot of characters i think are cool from the background but i don't feel like our types would mesh super well. just like how you won't be friends with every person you come across, things like this are normal.
