Is there really that much activity on dwrp that we can have some things filed under "general"? lol

Some people seem to think there are a ton of murdergames, but there really aren't.

aside from airlocked and trustfell, most of these games are private ones between friends.

And to be honest, murder game players don't tend to talk about the games on anon comms. It's actually pretty refreshing that other than the every now and then bitching about Trustfell's mods that the games have no anon presence.

pretty sure this is why murder games have been on the rise lately. too many new games tend to get grudgewanked out of existence while short term games usually wrap up before anyone has the chance.

That and how quickly you can build some intense CR. I've had much more intense CR in a two month game than I've had in playing a character for a year or more in a regular game. No one in a murdergame cares if they know your canon or not, they only care about making their character suffer and that is best done by building great CR who will eventually die on them.

say whatever you want about murdergames (most of it is legit anyway) but building CR in a regular game has become such a fucking drag.

I've actually gotten interested in a lot of canons I didn't know anything about before just from playing in murdergames with characters from those canons - and some of the CR mine and those characters have is the best I've gotten to play in ages.

Currently there are three "big" murdergames (Airlocked, Trustfell, Foolish Mortals) and all of them are looking to end soon. Trustfell is on its last round, Airlocked and Foolish Mortals are set to close next year.

You're going to start to see more of them get announced around the end of this year, I think.
