I wish someone would make a spiritual successor to CoA. Not just for noncon, there's a lot of stuff I'm looking to play but trying to find a PSL partner and then getting the PSL hashed out and set up is too much of a pain in the ass when so many PSL partners flake out before the thread even gets anywhere.

empatheias and thefarshore are the only games i know of with vampire knight casts atm; empath has yuuki, zero, and ren, while tfs has zero, ichiru, and takuma. they're pretty large, empath especially, but other than that i believe they both fit your preferences!

it's written in japan, about japanese people, mainly for a japanese audience. yes, it's likely to get translated and sold all over but it's going to have a japanese tone to it about their society and that's A Thing. do you see how straight dudes even dress that are "tough and cool and masculine" in japan? they would be immediately thought of as gay in the west.

no one's saying it's great or good, but anytime anyone judges sexuality, gender identity, or anything involving gender and the treatment of it and individuality in japan some weeb has to come in screaming how BUT IT'S THEIR COUNTRY DIFFERENT CULTURE instead of being genuinely critical of it. this, in this case, is something that exists in fucking japan. were it in america it likely would have a different spin (and regardless, what the fuck is wrong that a guy can't have "feminine" interests in america? let boys play with dolls BUT THAT MEANS THEY'RE GAY THO MY REPRESENTATION I MEAN YAOIS I MEAN).

you can consume that media but the story isn't really meant to resonate with you but fucking teenage boys and young adults in japan who are playing it. in the end, even if japan wants their media to be consumed in other countries for sweet sweet money they're still designing it exclusively based on their ideals, morals, and social structures and not trying to make a story for westerners.
