rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

and absolutely nobody was surprised

steves that don't flake out of games and actually tag around with people outside their cast seem gd mythic these days I swear

it's a combination of steve being a character that attracts flaky shiny hunters who don't really want to play him as much as just looking at his evans face and people who do want to be active with him getting way too much demand than they can keep up with and then getting called cliquey and flaky for it when they just can't tag all the things and they drop because fuck that, rp's supposed to be fun.

mcus are always shat on in most games, but there seems to be a disproportionate amount of attention paid to steves than any other character. most mcus are flaky, but steves are the ones that get all the complaints. it doesn't really make any sense.

the reason steves get more complaints is because they flake way harder than any other mcu character, in my experience. like, sure, other mcu characters can be incredibly flaky, but steves take it to a whole new level.

i'm in another game where we just had a steve drop after two months where they hadn't so much as made an intro post. the last steve before them made a post and a log the day they came into the game, then we never saw them again outside of ac for three months when they finally idled out.

The only MCU's I've seen be reliably around in games are Tony Starks. Those players stick to their characters like burrs to fur, even if they seem fairly insular.
