Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

ain't nobody obliged, friend, and this isn't taking up a spot in any of the artist threads. I admit I put this up before I realized there was such butthurt about character frequency being an issue, and I don't think I would have if I had realized it chapped someone's ass so hard that they feel the need to police the entire thread about it, but I still don't think having it here is hurting anyone.

Why is this so worrisome to you?

because other people would like at least to have a chance, friend. my available hours are such that i have yet to get to one of these threads before the slots fill up, occasionally by the same few people, and it's disappointing not to even be able to ask. if you got something already, appreciate it and let someone else have a turn.

Again, having made a point not to take up a slot in an artist thread, I don't see how having a repeat character in the general catch-all area is hurting anyone. Nothing is stopping you from asking, there's no cap on the gen area.

That said, I have no interest in making this an unwelcoming environment for anyone or catching flak for trying to take part in what should be a light and fun activity, so yeah, I'll step off.

On the other hand, this policing that you insist on doing is creating a weird, toxic environment, and as an artist who does myself sometimes go through and drop draws on people, yeah, I'm going to step off. This is gross and I've no interest in playing in this sandbox anymore.
