rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. in order to keep track of the days, would it help if the mods posted a day start post every ic day? it could announce the weather and anything else important about the day.

This is what Soul Campaign did (which I feel Far Shore is a bit of a spiritual successor to that game) and it worked out really well.

However the mods already have a lot on their plates and hardly anything gets done on time as it is + Frika seems to be the only one who ever does anything (I don't know how true that is, but as a player that's how it looks to me), so I'd be wary of this solution. It'd probably work well, but actually getting someone to stick to doing it and ACTUALLY doing it doesn't seem feasible with our mod team right now. OR, at least, I don't have faith they could keep it up. :/

Wouldn't it be better for Frika to just get a new mod team if they're not doing anything? Better for the game too. I feel bad for your head mod.

It probably would but she never will lol Or hell, even just add some people. Plenty have tried to make her life easier and offered to help even with little things to lighten to the load some, but she refuses.

Idk if it's a control thing or what but it can get frustrating.

poor frika doing it all solo. i feel really bad for her. modding and doing everything and then also having a full time job.

the other mods should be ashamed. What good does the title mod do if you do nothing. she needs to get people that actually care and wont weight her down.

She insists on doing things like counting every character's comments manually and turning down help so I'm not too sure she's not making more work for herself anyway.

yeah but do you ever see anything from the other mods? i always see frika running around. i think the team is the problem not her. frika is just trying to make the game the best she can i think. and the character comments for exp or whatever i like. it rewards active players.

I really hate this "I only see x mod doing mod work so they must be doing it all!" attitude. Most of the mod work is behind the scenes or posted by the mod team as a whole under the mod account, with no distinction between which specific mod posted. How do you know only one mod is doing it all? Because that one plurks/talks about doing mod work?

I don't know if any one mod is doing more work than the others, but I'm not going to make baseless claims just because one mod feels like talking about their mod work when the others might not.

Well when nothing gets done and the other mods are in the mod plurks saying shit like "This will get done when Frika gets home!" when it's something they could perfectly get done themselves (why does Frika specifically have to pair up Gods and Shinki pairs when it's all RNG anyway?) it's a little telling.

But keep whiteknighting the mods when we're just players who want things done on time, have offered to help things get done on time, and been refused at every turn. We're just calling it how we see it: Frika's the only one who seems to get any work done, and when she's not around to do said work, the game suffers for it. Not in any big dramatic ways, but things take forever/are delayed etc. It's noticeable.

We just want to help, man.

Or maybe they just want the whole team together for those things? btw, I'm pretty sure it's not 100% RNG, because sometimes they'll pair up certain characters together intentionally without it being requested by the players. I think they try to pair up gods/shinki that they think will work well together which might be why they'd want multiple opinions on hand for that.

If the mods want help, they'll ask for it. Are you the same anon that was complaining before about apps being "slow"? I don't know if you're just used to dealing with games where everything gets processed and answered within minutes or what, but the speed of modwork here is pretty average all around, so I don't get any of your complaints. Things will get done when they get done. Chill.

Anon a couple comments up mentioned Frika refusing help, though. Do we know if that's true or not?

I've seen this happen on plurk. She specifically said she preferred to do the work herself in such cases.

It is true. I'm in the game and I've offered and been turned down before. I don't know if it's a control thing or what but there's a definite imbalance of a workload there. The other mods do help but they've never really told us what all their different responsibilities are. Which is frustrating because things are often late and they seem very unorganized.
