rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I like Komaeda, but that's still the best reasoning I've ever heard.

it, at least, kind of justifies komaru's decision to let her go in the first place. komaru would have been a huge idiot if monaca was the mastermind and she didn't choose to nip that in the bud when she had the chance.

This is a very liberal use of the word good.

i'm probably stupid and missing something but what's going on with monaca? what specifically made her suddenly heel face turn out of nowhere? she was literally about to kill komaru and fukawa and then... just changed emotions suddenly. what caused it? why? i've watched the scene three times and it's still not clicking for me. why all of a sudden? if she was so bored and changed by meeting komaeda then what was up with her eager participation through gekkogahara up until that very moment?

The short answer is: she's crazy, she's playing pretend and it's a plot twist.

Why all of a sudden? Maybe for exactly the reason she says: Komaru forced a final confrontation and Monaca can't be bothered going through the motions. There's no longer any reason to keep up the pretence.

As far as her participation through Gekkogahara goes, it actually explains why Monaca does nothing to incite despair in the group (short of what she called "a harmless prank like in the old days"). If anything she's downright encouraging towards Naegi and the rest.
