i'd love to do a PSL or some memes or something with castmates! I'd like to mess around with this AU, but I can definitely play him OU too if that's what people would like. o/ mostly I just want to be able to bounce him off people and explore/expand his characterisation

I don't think it would be good for ANYBODY AT ALL. One is bad enough. Two is worse, especially if one is easy prey for the other. And poor Kevin would need more backup than he currently has.

though negl a dream sequence between them where alba knows what's up and isn't immediately going to be brain-rewriting fodder might be interesting at least, since he doesn't seem to be the type to be doing much introspection. WHAT IS DOUBT, HE IS ON A MISSION

Possibly slightly less willing to just sacrifice him at random, so SOME protections in place, after all you don't run into ... yourself ... every day! It's an opportunity not to be wasted!

It could indeed be interesting. I'm not sure it could be swung easily even as an AU given the headaches that the thought of multiple Zemurias could even cause.

tbf 'sending things into alternate dimensions' and 'weird time/space warping' and 'confronting your own memories through bizarre artifacts that send you into an illusion world' are things that all already exist within this universe so it could probably be spun as one of those - alba's probably a branch of possibility that potentially exists or something similarly handwavey along those lines, taking that into account! BASICALLY I AM FLEXIBLE, memory fuckups are only one of many exciting possibilities

And alternate realities that aren't just dimensions/time warping, given Zero's commentary about Azure Demiurge and having tried a thousand different versions of Zemuria and that's the only one that had things go well. Given the tetracyclic towers are already hooked to another dimension surely it wouldn't be too hard to actually connect to another dimension.

Actually that might be a good setup right there since they both have interest in the towers, be it for archaeology or Sept-terrion. And when facing themselves there's no reason not to be honest about their reasons to be there and goals for the future! Why lie to yourself?! (I have issues with Weissmann and his goals and how they are both fairly altruistic in the not-really-benefitting-himself sort of way, and still utterly evil)

oh my god i know. weissmann has decent reasoning based on what he personally researched and he has at least reasonably altruistic intentions (he'd probably subject himself to the same process too because HAHA FUCK EMOTIONS GUYS WHAT ARE THOSE), he wants to uplift humanity so nobody ever dies or falls into depravity or whatever

it's just. the way he goes about it is horrific. sparking off wars and conflict to shape everything into just how he wants it so he can get to the result, and as a result thinking that killing lots of people in the present is an acceptable sacrifice to lift humanity in the future, is awful. and he just. doesn't comprehend that maybe killing lots of people for a future cause is shitty and horrible

its also honestly the planning of someone who hasnt like, emotionally connected with another person for decades. weissmann is an emotional shitshow

Yeah, he's very much 'ends justify the means' sort, and he's willing to do anything including die to see the rest of humanity (or at least the ones that survive what he's up to) progress. Can't make an omelette, etc!

Zero/Ao reveal some other things that also shaped how I see Weissmann and his actions, but it seriously crosses into spoiler territory, not sure it belongs on RPA.
