rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

App Workshop: Honestly I've been hoping the mods would quietly put this thing out of its misery. No other game I know of has one, and it came about in response to a few mean-spirited comments about unfair rejections which IMO were unfounded in the first place. Personally I'd feel uncomfortable putting my stamp of approval on some excited newbie's app when I'm not a real app mod and don't know their standards, meaning the newbie could get rejected anyways. Ryslig's not that tough of a game to get into, we don't need this silly workshop (and players in game shouldn't feel obligated to play temporary app mod to get it to look welcoming).

TDM: I think that comes more down to people being too busy with in-game stuff to tag the TDM. The intro logs always explode. This has been the case at tons of games I've been in.

Crying about mods: Yeah that'd help, give 'em a break at this point.

Actually, regarding the TDM, last I checked everyone had 1-2 threads going. If there are a bunch of people going completely unreplied to then I can agree with you because it's a shame to let anyone go without replies altogether and I'll check it when I get home.

I absolutely want new blood in the game but I don't have the time to juggle TDM threads, look over apps, do my own threads, and balance real life obligations. Ryslig apps tend to be huge to boot, and to this day I have no idea what the mods look for in an app, so I don't feel like I could properly assess any but my own.

I know some oldbies have complained about intro logs being boring now, but looking at the last one, they still get just as much attention as anything else. With two whole logs dedicated to new characters every other month, I would think that practically stands as a welcoming flag to new players.
