rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

i played a character who was literally added into their canon at the last minute for, and i’m not kidding, marketing reasons. for a long time i only had their very, very brief screen time (with no lines) and a small bio blurb to go off of. i apped him into a game with a backstory that i completely made up based on what little i had (thankfully the world was fairly fleshed out) and played him there for something like two or three years, with no backlash that i ever saw.

he started appearing more prominently in tie-in material, something like a year/year and a half after the canon’s initial release. turns out i was pretty spot-on with my characterization, so that was kind of nice.
