if you refuse to respond to tags by certain characters based on nothing they've done wrong, yes. once or twice, no, but if you're never responding to certain tags due to your own stupidity and cliquishness, then yes.

no. i'm sorry, but no. i may not agree with 'eww icky ocs get them out of my game', but i will never agree that anyone has to play with anyone else. they may be asked to expand their cr, but they're allowed to choose who they tag or what types they tag with. if they don't want to play with ocs, you and the mods can't make them.

no, that's not how games work. you can't expect anyone who tags in to either want to be able to tag with everyone or have the time to. people tag what they can manage. and half the time, the people that are cliquey and keeping to themselves are flaky and won't tag you back anyway, so i don't get why you'd want to tag them.

it sucks if people don't want to tag ocs, but you're not going to suddenly have everyone in the game licking your taint if you try to make them tag you. you will become a chore. people will dislike you based on your ooc behavior and your oc won't have a chance at all because you were a dick and no one wants to play with you now.

if the game has 100 chars, you can't expect people to keep up with all of them. and they shouldn't have to. people and chars form little groups and that's always been the way of it. ocs just have to work harder to find cr that clicks with them and it won't always happen. just like obscure chars, which i've played myself and either toughed it out and found great cr for or wound up dropping because it wasn't working. p.s, the 'not every char is a great fit' rule applies to ocs, and while another oc might work for that game, maybe yours won't.

or, you know... maybe it's just you.

not me. i'm not an oc player. just someone who has seen this argument get slapped down when an anon mob goes after harmless players who didn't tag their precious babbu and whining that mods should force those "cliquey" players to tag them.

no one wants the mods to force people to play with 'them', though, anon. people want mods to get people who are only playing with one/two people to play outside of those people. play with the game. do something. be active in the game and stop ignoring the WHOLE GAME. none of them are going 'this steve is shitty because he won't tag me and specifically me'. they're saying 'this steve is shitty because he only plays buttbuddies with bucky' and neither of them play in the game as a whole and use the game as a stage for people to watch their manlove.

that is what people with bitch about, because someone is squatting on a popular char spot and not doing anything with it. while people may WANT a steve to play with them, no one is stamping their feet going 'me me me tag me'. players in games need to learn they're in a game, yes, and to play with more than ONE OR TWO PEOPLE. if they play with five/six people consistently, who cares? that can be a lot of threads to maintain and maybe that's all they can do. the clucking comes from when they're not even doing that much and then they lie about it, say they want all the cr please come tag me omg i luv u bbs and then ignore everyone but bucky.

you're not really making sense in this discussion, anon. the topic is 'mods can't make people tag ocs'. where you're getting 'them' or 'a group' from is you jumping all over the place in your head and not articulating, because we're all going 'no, mods can't make people tag a specific player or a group of players. mods can't make anyone tag anyone else. all they can do is ask for more activity outside of the activity they're showing to prove they're playing with the game as a whole and not isolating themselves in a clique'. if a player can't do that because no one will tag them, then unfortunately that player will have to drop because even if they go to the mods and go 'i tag out but no one tags me back' the mods can't force the players they tag to play with them.

except you're not using the word hypocrite in the right context or the concept of tinfoil hats. this isn't a conspiracy theory. you're the one bawking about poor ocs, whether you play one or not. this happens to all character types, anon. not just ocs. lots of characters from non-popular canons have to drop games if they can't get cr. not everyone is going to get cr if people don't like their char type or the player is just a dick.
