rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. "fantasy" is a genre, not a premise

reads like dark fantasy to me. bringing in characters as an offering is pretty neat, imo.

an offering for what? what do you even DO there? it's a game that offers a setting and the vague promise of monsters and houses and parties but what do you even do in this game?

i read through the game info and was rather confused as to what, exactly, the game was about other than building sandcastles and/or babies in a nice sandbox. if this is basically amat 2.0 then maybe that makes sense. maybe a hook is not needed when this exists to be That Other Game But With The Serial Numbers Filed Off.

the premise is: i fucked up at amat and i want a place to flake at that.

i love that people are apping characters from game of thrones that have no character at all to speak of.

Why does it say on the apps page that applications are currently closed, but I'm seeing people say their characters were accepted all over my plurk timeline?

am i the only one who is thinking of joining in because everyone looks like they're having stupid fun and not caring about being amazing tldr writers or anything

It does look like a lot of fun, but the character I want to bring would instantly run into facetwin trouble, and I really don't want to play that, but there's no way to avoid it.

passerby da here, but as i'm not a fan of facetwin stuff myself, i feel you. my stance on it has always been that maybe you can put in ()'s that you'd rather not play facetwin shenanigans and reiterate that in your intro (if you wind up apping). you can be upfront with it and while some people do really like the 'aren't you bob?' aspect, some don't. if you don't want to play it, there's no reason you should and you can just go with the 'looks a little similar, but isn't' mode.
