Pass the damn ham, please

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

if we're talking about Holy Breaker, agreed. guessing SP didn't bother because it doesn't have the Key label attached and the game got mixed reviews in Japan?

either way, MG partnering up with VA (assuming MG did get Holy Breaker) is probably a good thing even if it's not a game under the Key brand. VA's non-Key subsidiaries does have some nukige and light high school slice-of-life stuff for MG to make some cash off of if Holy Breaker does well. so even if MG doesn't get rights to a Key game, they'll still get some extra money that they can use to work on more story-based games.

AYRT

Yeah, I was referring to Holy Breaker. Even if it doesn't have the Key label, I'm still a bit surprised they didn't go for it. The scenario writer has worked on Key games so I'm sure they could that to their advantage while advertising.

They've also got Spray for BL titles so they could always go for those. Some of them are a bit old though.

Spray's most recent game is Gakuen Heaven 2 which might work since it does have a small following on Tumblr and it's all-ages so MG could try to get it on Steam, but the art is kind of dated so I'm not sure how well that'd work.

there's also that Tsumi naru Rasen no Ori -Whispers of Iscariot- game that Spray is still in the process of developing. the art is nicer compared to Gakuen Heaven's, but imo it does still have that typical BL manga art style feel going on if that makes sense: http://spray.product.co.jp/product/tsumi/contents.html#section3

It's also got a fan translation the works as well iirc. The art is definitely a bit dated bit it being all ages might help it. The story seems to be more light-hearted so sone BL fans may go for that.

That's been in development for a while now. I think they're trying for a release this year but who knows. And I feel you on the art. It's much bether though so it's got that going for it.

Kichiku Megane used to be pretty popular but it's also almost ten years old.
