i'd like to thank treehouse for effectively killing any interest i had in this game.

i'm fine with how they handled soleil's supports. however, the way the changes they made to rhajat and niles in the localization are just baffling considering how them being same-sex marriage options is nintendo's response to the tomodachi life controversy.

i'm really hoping people complain about this to nintendo, but considering the fandom ahahahahahaha

Anon, there's been a huge hubbub in the fandom over the localization changes in general for the past three weeks at least. With that in mind, there is a decent chance that there will be drama over any of the loc changes made to Niles and Rhajat since they're the only gay options in the game.

Just give people some time to get a hold of their copies of the game first.

same. some people are upset about rhajat already, but not a lot of people picked up on the changes to niles so far (some even praised the english m!corrin/niles support for nixing the "but we're both guys!" part when they just replaced it with the f!corrin/niles support, meaning there's a whole extra section that was really sweet missing now).

looking through more of his supports, it looks like they basically removed the fact his crass speech is to keep people at a distance on top of playing that up. rhajat basically got flanderized into tharja 2.0 with a shittier support.

we'll probably see more complaints once more people see what happened to rhajat and niles. atm more people seem fixated on the changes to soleil because of all the controversy around her.

anon, people have been discussing the niles changes for a while already too

i know, but they haven't gotten as many negative reactions so far. a lot of people just saw that his m!corrin support dropped the "but we're both guys" stuff and declared it good even though there's more missing, or didn't see enough of him yet to notice the changes to his backstory/personality or adding sadomasochism and cruder innuendo where there wasn't any. some people actually seem to think they toned that last part down when it's the opposite overall.

the rhajat support change in comparison got immediate backlash in multiple places. which is good since she got it even worse what with them replacing the f!corrin/rhajat support with the really poor m!corrin/rhajat one on top of messing with her character. i'm just hoping more people will check what's been done to niles' character too now. upping the negative traits for both gay options and removing some of the better traits for both is pretty bad.
