Exactly. I'd rather see someone that is a different race, but at least has similar features than a native that looks nothing like the character described.

Idek if it really matters in this particular case with how shitty the official art is.

um, the problem is not that the pb isn't "native looking", but that she isn't native at all. she's white.

considering how many tables i've seen flipped over HDU USE A KOREAN ACTRESS FOR A JAPANESE CHARACTER... this is a thing that needs to be addressed. i get that not all half and halfs look like the darker part of their race (wentworth miller is half black), but when you use a white woman for a 'anglo looking native w/native coloring'... i have to wonder. i've also seen tables flipped over 'well, he looks like he could play a poc-' "BUT HE'S NOT POC WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU" over actors that have really dark/mediterranean coloring/origins, but aren't the specific ethnicity the character is. none of those facts change despite the fact that the character is a racial stereotype 'only not really because lol anglo features'.

okay, but actors of the correct ethnicity just don't exist in sufficient numbers to fill pb needs. i don't know anyone who doesn't look for someone of the right heritage first, but heritage is not the only factor, and sometimes, the pb is just literally not there.

as someone who has used a native pb before, they do exist. you just have to actually make an effort to look.

cool. that doesn't mean one exists for every native character in existence.

are you suggesting that we need to find a different, specific pb for each and every native character in existence?

you can use pbs that have been used before, anon.

are you suggesting that one or a few native actors have enough variety in all their other important features to cover every possible native character you'd need a pb for? you being able to find a pb for, say, a biker gang member doesn't mean i'm going to be able to find one for, say, a teenage nerd.

jesus christ, this is not a hard concept i'm trying to express. there are very few native PBs which means very little variety in looks which means there is not enough variety for all the characters with some native ancestry to have a native pb

here's at least 60 names over a long period of time of both full native and mixed actresses.

it might help you to know there's actually an entire station dedicated to aboriginal programs, much like bet. there are plenty of native actors/actresses. they're just not in mculocknatural. take a moment to look and you can actually find some decent examples.

same place as any icons/caps for lesser capped characters. sitting there waiting for someone to commission someone else/make their own. don't expect everything to be handed to you. if you're playing a character from an indie movie or some obscure fandom, you'd have to maybe download the show/series and cap it yourself, or commission someone else to. same goes. if you find a pb that would suit better, find what they're in. see what you can hunt down. either make your own (which are easier to do than people think) or get someone else to.

don't bitch because it's not there waiting for you with a bow on top.

alternatively, look at pb_updates. under black haired native american women in the 20s and 30s alone there are over 100 links. (admittedly, a lot of them are rosario dawson, but a lot of them are not.)

there are actresses like tinsel korey, julia jones, mizuo peck, happy frejo, irene bedard, tonantzin carmello, etc.

i'm an icon maker. i'm asking for caps because i want to make some, but my computer can't handle capping, unlike other commenter i don't have the spare cash to commission caps, and just about the only thing with native actors on the numerous cap sites i use is twilight.

It may seem odd, but I've used Animget here before to capture screenshots. It's very easy to use, doesn't require a great computer, and does sequential shots. Just don't shoot more than maybe 2-3 seconds at a time.

One can also use PrtScn and Paint (or any art program) to get captures. It's slow, but effective.

It's not so hard, just takes a little work and some looking about for things.
