According to Reddit you don't even need the bounties to get the event exclusive awards, you just need to play. The bounties just count for regular Crucible rep.

Yeah, it seems the bounties are only giving you rep and random purple vendor gear. They're also replacing Shaxx's 'nightfall-tier' reward bounties for the week, but having never unlocked those, I have no idea if this is an improvement or not.

Shaders seem to drop pretty easily, but I hear Ghosts are being illusive.

Ghosts are pretty rare and will drop at around your light level. If you want one in the high 300s, you'll have to be around that level too. I managed to score a 319.

With my luck, it'll be a the turd brown one and not the sparkly red one. But a 320 ghost is still a 320 ghost, can't beat that with a stick.
