casual reminder that, despite what everyone wants to pretend didn't happen because of awkward implications, luke was popping boners all the time for leia before the big sibling reveal happened.

that being said, i have less of a problem with people considering him canon gay than thinking he's canon asexual.

Most of the time I see the uncomfortable incest implications explained away as being that Luke and Leia didn't understand the intense feeling of familial/force connection they had with one another so they mistook it for romantic attraction, which they both immediately discarded when they figured out their actual relationship to one another.

Which, granted, is just a desperate attempt to explain away the fact that George clearly didn't plan shit out before he started.

i can guarantee you that if carrie and mark had better sexual chemistry than they ended up having, luke/leia would have been endgame and the landscape of star wars would be very different.

but carrie and harrison just clicked better in that way, probably because, if rumors are true, they were fucking irl at the time.

Tbh I found them cute together and I do ship them. Even after the twin reveal, whoops. I don't have a hard time believing that it was originally intended to be endgame, but yeah. Clearly other people have more of an aversion to fictional incest than I do, and the asspull's all they've got, because the movies clearly weren't written with the "everyone's related!" thing in mind from the start.
