I'm not sure how well you understand that, though. Like, how was he supposed to know how old she was? Even if he'd thought to ask, she was well prepared to lie to him.

This is not a black and white issue. People keep telling you that, but you don't seem to understand in spite of the why being explained.

no one's arguing that it shouldn't have happened, anon. what people are trying to hammer home is that he wasn't aware how old she was. 'he shouldn't have had sex with... a girl he thought was legal age'. that's what you're saying and that's what's trying to be impressed here. he didn't do it intentionally. you can't blame a guy for having sex with a willing girl that he thinks is legal and equate it to a guy having sex knowingly with a willing minor. those two things are so very different.

ok let me break this down for you: he didn't prowl around the groupies asking who was the youngest. he didn't knowingly stalk or seduce her or go looking for someone under the age of 18. if anything? she was something of a predator.

she had been through puberty and got herself dressed up to show that ~of age~ looking body off. she got the fake id and sought him out looking to fuck while both were high. this is NOT rape. was it a good thing? no, i don't think so. he didn't think so either.
