No, ATP is dying out because it's dying out. I used to really enjoy that time of the month and looking forward to seeing what new games might crop up, what people were looking for games to play in and psl potentials. Now it's a wasteland. Barely any games post to it and barely anyone is tossing in their own chars looking for games. It's advice like 'post to ATP' that can kill an upcoming game because ATP is just not the advertising mecca it used to be. Sure, go ahead, post to it. Just don't expect many people to see it. More people go here and spread around game info from here than they do ATP.

I didn't say that should be the only place to post, or are you implying that a game will die because it's advertised on ATP?

No, but saying that 'this sort of advice is why comms die' is wrong since the comm has been slowly dying for the last year. It's effectively dead already, so it's not really a proper venue to use for advertising, which is what a new game wants/needs. Go ahead and post to it, but it's not going to do you much good, which makes it not viable advice in terms of where to go to get new blood for a new game.
