rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. some, like me, just don't like anime fandoms. others, like people i've played with, have been snubbed to often. but it's not like animes haven't been snubbed either. it happens on both sides.

Happens way more with LA players being the snobs. Some are so snobby they also ignore more obscure LA canons too.

it does happen on both sides, as someone who's played both la and anime, but in my experience la is more likely to snub anime than vice versa

a lot of my anime characters in games wind up with minimal la cr, even when i seek out and tag la characters; my la characters tend to have a mix of la and anime cr that's pretty close to the proportions of each in the game

i suspect the reason is that anime players who avoid la usually do it because they think the player won't be interested in them, so tagging out makes a big difference

whereas la players who avoid anime usually do it because they don't like anime and/or expect annoying anime stereotype cr, so they don't want to play with you even if you tag out

(and before you ask, no, it's not an age thing, my characters are mostly in their 20s and 30s regardless of medium)
