The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

for me, it's roleplaying on certain sites (like fandom wikis) and going "hi i'm rose quartz" "pearl is my girlfriend" "you're wrong, my favorite food is tacos" maybe it's the first person writing that creeps me out?

and i can't forget people who throw fits because the creator keeps jossing their shitty headcanons/aus and accuse the creator of not knowing their character or being a shitty writer "i know sephiroth best!!!!!!!!"

For me nothing is worse than offense autism tropes applied to random characters.

Oh and this is more specific, but black characters/headcanon black characters being given vitiligo. And dreadlocks. Sometimes both at once. Shit is vaguely blackface and racist to me when it's done almost Every Time.

the way some fandoms insist on throwing their pairing bullshit in the faces of the actors who play those characters. nothing is more cringeworthy than hearing about explicit fanfic being read at conventions (by or to the actors) or people getting the actors to sign their nsfw fanart.

This. There is meant to be a SEPARATION between the creators and that sort of fandom. There's nothing worse than sitting in a panel when someone bring that stuff up because it's just so awkward for the actors and the audience.

op, yours reminded me of those rp blogs that decide to comment in-character on non-rp stuff. like reblogging fanart with "i remember that day, didn't know anyone was taking pictures tee hee!" or random discussion/theory posts with "well here's how it really happened, and you can tell them i told you myself ;)" and shit like that.

worse are the ones who do it to complain about the content. like "i would never date her, how dare you!" and "this is horrible, don't EVER draw me like this again!!". at least the first group is only trying to be cute, even if they're failing. the complete lack of social skills you would have to have to think in-character ~callouts~ are a good idea is just shocking to me.

Impersonating celebrities on social media. Not in a celeb rp way, where they make it clear that it's roleplay, but making Twitter/Instagram/whatever accounts and pretending to be that person. It's even more embarrassing how many people will fall for it no matter how inept the impostor is, like the person I saw pretending to be Daisy Ridley on Twitter... who linked to her Instagram... to a post where she says she doesn't have a Twitter.
