Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

i think for the taken list it should be by listed alphabetically by canon. so that way it's easier for people to find potential castmates or if their preferred character is still up for grabs. their job can be where the canon is in the coding for the character i see.

so instead of this:

Character Name
Canon
[personal profile] username
Played by: Player Name

it'll be this:

Character Name
Job
[personal profile] username
Played by: Player Name

and i take it from the hiatus page the min ac is 20 comments in total? how many threads will be allowed to be used for that? i think two to three only is a good fit for this type of game. that way ac check won't be a pain for players or mods when everyone is gathering or counting comments.

Oh, gosh. I forgot to unlock the FAQs page! (wtg self, that's what i wanted the most feedback on)

Yes, the AC requirements are:

To pass AC, we ask that you meet twenty (20) comments throughout the month, split between at least two characters.

The lowest threshold for qualifying AC is five (5) comments from your character.

That means, at the very least, you can make AC by having spread out to four characters, so long as you have five comments of your own.

And, yeah! I'm definitely leaning toward the "taken" section the way you've described. Thanks for the input!

it's no problem. after i read it, this is what i can say in regards to the f.a.q:

* what will happen to characters who are not human in their canon like robots/etc? i think we discussed this in the past that they would be just assumed to be a 'funny-looking tin gentleman/lady?'

* you should put in the mentioned character cap per player in the rules! just so all information is in one place. you can still keep it in the reservations to reinforce/remind people about it.

* do you want this to be a small game or a medium-ish game? you mentioned before you want it to be streamlined so maybe having a player cap later on in the game would benefit everyone. just let everyone app in in the first few months, see how it goes and decide if you need that many people currently or need a few more to get it going.

* and like i said earlier, its prolly best you can do with improving ac is limit the number of threads players are allowed to use. that way someone doesn't hand over five 2-comment threads. otherwise its reasonable imo.

also for the sake of it, i don't think you need to mention 'wankgate' in the rules. when making rules, you generally try not to name drop or name an exact thing/player to avoid ruffling people's feathers.
