I finally saw this in theaters, and it was cool except for Adam Driver. Holy shit, he's so ugly?? Kylo Ren isn't even an interesting enough character to make up for that fugface. I can't believe this greasy whiny white boy is so popular. But then again, DWRP, I guess.

I am extra baffled by the Kylo/Hux shipping. Two ugly, boring characters fucking just because... why, they're both white guys? It's Pacific Rim all over again with the scientists.

hux bores the crap out of me but i could kind of get it as a hateship. they really, genuinely don't like each other, and if people wanted to just right fighting and fucking as some kind of weird power play thing then i can see the appeal

but all these cuddly cute secret married space dads headcanons and whatever? i don't even see the appeal, much less the basis.

the dark side of the force kind of precludes all that anyway...

I actually like him a lot because he ISN'T that attractive. He kind of has this face that makes you double-take, and it's more memorable than some beautiful pretty boy Chris Pine/Ryan Reynolds/Matt Bomer/insert popular white actor here.

I think the look really works with the character, insecure and immature jerk that he is, even though I personally don't get the rampant "HE'S SO GORGEOUSSSSS" rants (I think it's just a Draco in Leather Pants wave). But anyways, everyone has their tastes, I suppose.

As a community we love to whine endlessly about generic pretty white guys and how that shit is boring, but as soon as someone without a flawless, perfect looking face comes along we're like "what a hideous freak!"

it has everything to do with him looking like an actual horse and being the worst sith ever.

eh, i'd argue on the "worst sith ever" front, considering you have darth "i only serve as a plot device who gets killed within minutes of introduction and looks like a devil designed by juggalos" maul, but kylo ren is not an experienced sith by any means (he hasn't even canonly finished his training) so i can see why people think that.

and yeah, sure, he looks like a horse. it doesn't stop me from liking him or his character, though, and i don't see the point in arguing whether he's pretty or not. the guy looks how he looks and someone people will like that and some people won't. besides, the character is a villain, i'm surprised people were even expecting him to look visually appealing in the first place.
