I can't speak for Jex, but I'm one of the people that occasionally tags with Phase. Aside from once or twice having to mute plurks where she says something I disagree with, she's been a joy to interact with OOC and I haven't encountered any issues. Everything on wankgate and rpanons with her was way overblown, tbh.

A guy who's a little weird-looking, but not hideous. Kind of like Rami Malek.

Age/race doesn't matter too much.

The manga itself covers Loewe's side of the story from when he was younger up until the end of SC. Spoilers will exist for other games and if you want to avoid those just don't look at chapters 2-5. Bear in mind this is also considered to be canon. Still, it is a good source for icon material.

A completely blank timeline might seem a little weird.

I'd suggest at least an intro plurk to introduce yourself and say who you're playing, and it couldn't hurt to do occasional plurks linking your top levels in events and stuff, or plot plurks (private plurks with specific people for plotting also works). No one will bat an eye if you only use your plurk for RP, that's what most people do.

i don't think using the murderous thieving traveller stereotype is actually any more acceptable, tbh.

even if you don't plan on using it for chatting/plotting, don't be afraid to pimp out your opens! an intro plurk would be a good idea too, at least so people know who you are/who you play. it's definitely not frowned on to keep your plurks strictly RP only.

i'd just mention it and be clear, though you might expect some people to still unfriend you or not bother unless you actively talk to them (like any social media platform). i don't think it would hurt any more than not having one, though.

New anon. I found her characters to be pretty OOC in the past, though not any in this game. I also think that just muting "problematic" (not in tumblr definition) things and a "joy" otherwise is part of the issue. It doesn't hold her accountable for her literally disgusting behavior and just because you mute and don't comment doesn't mean you're not part of the problem. If most of the game is like this, I can see why it's not getting any new blood and looks to be dying.

My sympathies, I know that feel. I was excited to get tagged by a character I thought would have interesting CR with mine, until I tagged back and... ugh. Their writing is so bland and full of constant changes in tense, and their characterization isn't much better. Now they've latched onto me.

That's exactly what's happened and the worst part is that they seem nice enough? It's just their tags, they're so awful.

it's not even elitism, i feel like anon just worded it kinda bluntly? idk in my four years of dwrping i have never met anyone outside of two people who either knows or actively plays soulsborne games. i might've possibly added the wrong people, but idk there's not that many players here on dw that dip into niche games with a steep learning curve i guess. :/
