Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Proposing a player plot is about the same as suggesting an event, though. It's something that requires writing up a proposal, submitting it to the mods, waiting for a response, giving extra details if need be, and then trying to fit it into the schedule which might not happen for a month or two.

I think player plots are neat and wish more people did them but it's not really something you can just do if you're bored or the current month has no event or something because it'll take a while to work it out. Unless you have a backlog of approved player plots stored up, you're still going to have dead time waiting for one to happen even if it's your own. My comment was more about what we could do without any mod involvement whatsoever (between events and mod approved player plots).

Yeah, I guess I just didn't assume that a non-slice of life game would be casual. I love the premise but unless the next few months have more interesting events it might not be the game for me, I guess.

Watched the first four episodes, really enjoying the adaptation. Probably going to tool around on memes with Allanon, Wil, and Ander later on after his story develops.

Honestly I wouldn't even be that nitpicky about quality either, I'm that wizened to the ways of rp partners. I just want someone who can finish a thread in less than three months at this point

what do you do with (your own) starters in your musebox that no one ever ended up responding to? delete them or keep them? if you'd choose to delete it, how long would you wait before doing so?

(the easy answer is "it's your musebox, do whatever the fuck you want" but i'm not looking for advice, i'm just curious about what everyone else tends to do in this situation!)

i go through and delete stuff that got less than ten tags every 6 months or so. if i think i'll reuse the starter i might save it elsewhere or not delete it

idk, I think there's some merit to another wide-appeal, meme-like post along those lines, since the last one seems to be winding down. drawing from EU off the top of my head, but maybe something like a mingle aboard the Errant Venture or the Coral Vanda? The Maz Castle post was fun to watch, but there's only so much 'sit at the bar and drink' you can do before it gets a little stale. But with something more diverse, you could have that element for people who thrive on it, but also prompts that make a lot more action likely: sabbac tables, flight sims set up arcade-style, daring heist potential, diplomatic meetings, market opportunities ... it's still a mingle post and I know those probably aren't the real aim of the dressing room, but if that's the way people are taking it then it doesn't seem like there's too much harm in just going with it and posting something fresh so it isn't forgotten, you know?
