rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

no one is defending phase, though. this thread is literally full of "yes i agree phase is a shitty person." that has absolutely nothing to do with not wanting to set the precedent of kicking players out over anonymous concerns. for all the mods know, no one in the game really cares and everyone is able to ignore it, because no one the mods know has said otherwise. if i had an anon mob talking about how something was such a huge problem and i hadn't heard a single peep about it from my playerbase, i would assume it's anons getting worked up over nothing again. if an anon sent me pastebins, i probably wouldn't even read them because what the fuck is this witch hunting nonsense? talk to me with your name attached if your concern is legitimate.

if a player has gone to them off anon, of course this entire conversation is moot. but there's no proof of that.

not for nothing, anon, but that's why the aromantic label was created. so aro people who experienced the same frustration and alienation you're expressing had a way to understand and express that they are normal, just different.

yes, twice. once when i was 15, and it made me kind of crazy (falling for another girl also made me confused af and i think that contributed a lot). loved her thru the rest of high school, which i guess is how i know it was love and not just a crush; she could drive me mad sometimes but i cherished every moment of friendship i got from her, so tho it was totally one-sided on my part, i don't regret it bc i learned something about myself from the experience.

fell in love again in college and, while the person was and is one of my best friends, it didn't work out. i still love them almost a decade later, and i think i always will, but i don't expect or even really want anything more than friendship and i am ok with that.

at this point in my life i just want to focus on me, tbh. i don't like the idea of being with someone and relying on their feelings for me to create my happiness; i want to be able to create happiness for myself first.

I used to, years ago. They were...not very good, but I had a lot of fun! I still make vids in my head sometimes but I just don't have the time or patience to actually see them come into fruition anymore.

Phase is a shitty person and I am not defending her. What I care about is if the mods are listening to anon complaints, of if it's players currently in the game who are complaining.

Because it's not always as clear-cut as "she literally said homphobic shit". It's not always a clear-cut as "he molested his siblings." It's not always as clear-cut as "she sympathizes with the Boston bomber and woobified him and made an OC of him." Sometimes, it's not clear if someone is in the wrong or if they have a grudgewanker trying to make them miserable.

And because it's not always clear-cut, we have to have an established set of societal rules that we follow EVERY. TIME. Because that is the only thing that ensures fairness in this hobby, which is turn is why we trust mods to run games in the first place. We understand that they will follow these agreed-upon rules and not do shit for arbitrary reasons, and that is what allows games to thrive. Have you seen all the games where mods don't apply rules evenly across the board and they drop into a wank-flood because of it? That's why we need these rules in the first place.

One of those rules happens to be that the word of a person within the game trumps the word of a person not within a game. This rule is supposed to protect the cases where someone has a grudgewanker who is always stirring up trouble with them, so that they're not unfairly booted because their grudgewanker is using "but I miiiiight app but this person makes me so ~uncomfortable~" to get to them. Sometimes, that means we end up with cases like this, where an actually shitty person would fall under that same rule. But we need to stick to that rule every time it comes up, even in cases like this.

And like I've said fifty-million times, none of this applies if it's actual players in the game who complained and got Phase kicked out. From the start I have said it's a bad idea for ANONS ALONE to be able to get someone kicked out of a game they were already accepted to. Players complaining is an entirely different thing.

This advice works really well for meme and PSL players, less so for game players where "your thread partner" might be "everyone who happened to tag your network post or top level for the last month". So...30+ people sometimes.

IMO it's kinda ridiculous that people backtag silly network threads for a month anyways. I sure don't expect anyone to PM me just to tell me they're dropping one. If a thread is super important to me I'll ping them. Doesn't mean either of us are disposable fun, but at some point in a big game you have to move on from old shit so you can tag into new things.

Ataraxion has a great cast of OCs and is generally very welcoming toward them.

i know this is a super common thing in dwrp but it's just happened with like two flakes in the past few weeks who i KNOW both know that they are owing in our recent threads together. it steams my buns.

i'm a fat white girl on the internet and lbr being thinner would be great. one, because i'm trans and non-flat chests are dnw. two, because i have health problems that would probably improve if i weren't borderline obese. three, i'm insecure because fat and stretch marks and occasionally weird randos on the street think i'm pregnant and get in my business just to coo about baby shit wtf??? four, because i can do what i want with my own damn body?

whenever i visit my mom, she always takes offense when i eat a REASONABLE serving (she otoh fills two plates for dinner and still snacks late at night), not because she cooks (she's bad at it and knows it), but because eating less = an eating disorder in her eyes. she says that i don't need to lose weight to impress guys***, that SHE'S fat (she's not even overweight) and SHE looks fine!, that my doctor is brainwashing me and that i can be healthy AND fat, that my health problems have nothing to do with being fat, and who knows how many other reasons.

There are literally people upthread defending Phase as harmless. in the original thread before she was kicked. About how it's just a disagreement.

Given they're an anon, they could potentially be a mod who is buttbuddies with Phase. Why the fuck would anyone wanting to app into the game out themselves with that risk? I'm sorry you're so paranoid that you're whining about witch hunts. The fact you think this is a witch hunt speaks volumes.

Honestly I think telling her to fuck off is about the only thing you can do for most of it, though I guess on the serving thing you could try telling her that if she cooks something really healthy when you come over you could eat more of it? Like obviously if you're eating healthy and the meal is pasta you would take a small serving, but if it's something like chicken with rice and broccoli on the side you could have one normal serving and then fill a whole plate with broccoli alone and still be good as far as your diet goes.

I mean obviously you might not want to eat a whole plate of broccoli whether because you might not like it or just the principle of it, but that's the only sort of compromise that make things easier on you that I can think of.

Though that said if you have picked up an exercise hobby that you're really into you could take the I'M SUPER INVESTED IN MY NEW SPORT route and blame all your diet habits on it being best to excel in your sport, whether or not you're legit that into it.
