rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. basically, it's just a really poor adaptation of the manga. as the manga wasn't finished at the time the anime was made, it made up its own anime-only ending - which isn't uncommon, and is usually fine. however, they went totally off the rails and made up a bizarre subplot about witches and magic and stuff, which strongly goes against the theme of the series (the ability of normal people to do incredible things.) on top of that, it actually completely changes the manga plot from episode 1. in the manga, the murder of yako's dad is solved within the first few chapters; in the anime, it's the overarching mystery of the series, which doesn't work out that well, considering how stupid the ending they made up turned out.

it also thoroughly ruins the characterization of the lead character, yako, by making her into a pretty wishy-washy "chosen one" type character instead of the feisty and innovative high school girl, and cuts out some other interesting characters. and, in general, it just lacks a lot of the charm and wit that matsui's writing had. even though the manga is longer and the art is dodgy, you're much better off reading that instead.

I would gladly tell the mods, but without knowing the details, I'm afraid of not being able to make a more convincing argument as compared to say, someone who actually saw it. Is approaching on a general worry considered in okay form? But I'd really rather a willing person who was there do it.

We may already be talking, but on the off chance there's another Poe out there seeking Legends pilots other than who I'm thinking of: hello, I have a (new, finding my feet) Pash and a (super, super rusty) Janson, and I've been sitting on my hands to not make another half-dozen pilot journals unless I know I'm going to use them for something. I'm thinking on more specific scenarios, let's do a thing!

Do you have a source on this? I'm curious because while I've know that being more positive and getting issues like anxiety and depression under control helps I don't know or know of a single person that's into gotten into fat acceptance/HAES and actually lost weight. They've all either maintained their weight or gotten even fatter.

oh yeah, it's definitely harder than it is for someone who is perfectly healthy, but it's far from impossible. i'm back down to a normal weight now and i've been maintaining it for the past three years or so. i have to be more careful about my eating and exercising habits than someone without a thyroid disorder, but the synthroid seems to be doing its job so far.

if hate and shame actually helped people lose (and keep off!) weight then we would have no fat people, especially fat women

i should correct myself actually: it led to them being healthier, which didn't necessarily include weight loss, but had to do with stuff like feeling of health, heart rate, various blood numbers, etc. let me look for a source, hang on

this is actually talking about the opposite of what my point was, ie that people who are weight-conscious tend to gain more, but the corollary, where not caring leads you to be healthier and stop engaging in stress behaviors (they call out stress eating as the most obvious culprit), still holds true

i had a cyst under my skin earlier. it wasn't externally visible, but i could feel it whenever there was pressure on the area.

i poked and prodded at it for a while. then i tried to grasp the area and squeeze it. suddenly a huge geyser of clear, bloody fluid with about a dozen solid pus chunks suspended in it shot out with an audible 'crunch'. now i have a small but gaping hole where it used to be
