rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. or you phrased your request in a way that sounds a lot like "oh hey your friend who plays X sucks, you should play with me instead".

Hanafuda Koi Koi mobile game

Ever since browsers got a tab function, i abuse it. I always lose tags, especially memes, but it sometimes happens with psls and game threads, and if it's been more than a day or two (sometimes a bit more) i feel too awkward to tag so i just silently close the tab and slink away.

i can kind of understand, Sword of Shannara was heavily derivative of Lord of the Rings while Elfstones is more unique. it's probably still gonna leave a bunch of people that haven't read the books going ??? over a bunch of stuff, though.

i play a lot of smut but i can count how many times i've done it with my name attached on one hand. i'll play just about anything if it's locked and under a sock, too. even if it's not a kink i'm actually into.

The dark, major plot stuff is usually only fun for me if there's some panic about shippy relationship partner thrown in. Without that...eh.

I had to break myself of this habit. I just rely on notifs to check my tags now. I delete the e-mail once I reply to it. If my inbox has anything in it, then I have tags to do.

Not weird at all, and I guess I may be in the minority about not caring if the PM's from a sock. Several of my PSLs are with players who have only ever talked to me via socks or newly made character journals, and they've all been cool people.

Getting a request like this along with a compliment on my threads would totally make my week, personally. You should go for it. Good luck!

i never implied loki was a rare character. that was part of the 'if they're popular' example.

it's not about fighting to get in, but it's about showing more than a passing interesting. if someone else going 'ooh' over something you want is enough to have you deciding against it, you obviously don't want it enough. that's not a good/bad thing, but it's a fact. if i were to play in a tdm, i wouldn't care if there was another version in there. it's a meme. it's to see if i want to even try to play in that setting. if i didn't even bother looking at the tdm, i don't want to deal with people bitching that i 'reserve sniped' because i happened to get a reserve in before whoever was playing on the tdm, like i butted in line. i see it way too much on here and it's part of why i get annoyed at the tdm mindset lately. playing or not playing on the tdm isn't a sign of commitment. there are plenty of people that have admitted that they just play on the tdm to play with their friends with no desire to app in. but how are people passing by supposed to know? then you get this thing, where someone isn't apping but just wants to goof around and someone else thinks 'ooh, someone else wants it', doesn't bother reserving/apping, and no one gets that char spot because everyone's too afraid of their own shadow.

you want it? go for it.

I'll play against any version of character X who tags me, but when it comes to shipping I only do it with one person whose interpretation of and headcanons for character X perfectly complement my own. I also trust them not to spring weird shit on me in threads without discussing it first. I've known tons of players who are the same with shipping and none of them were crazy overinvested soulbonders. People are allowed to have preferences. Just something for OP to take into consideration if the player does turn them down.

i haven't read the books, so i have no expectations going into this beyond 'cool fantasy shit with elves', but i'm also sort of stoked that i can get the first 3 episodes all at once. and i'm really hoping i get a bite for a character because i'm as picky as hell and i'd like to play something new. haven't seen them yet either, but i'm saving them for last in my tuesday night lineup.

Yep. My ship is the only thing keeping me in a game rn. I've enjoyed some of my cr but so much of it's been aimless small talk type threads that get boring fast, and I generally have to carry nearly every thread I'm in if I want it to go anywhere.

...I should just drop and take my ship to a PSL.

you're definitely gonna get a lot of cool fantasy shit with elves. unless mtv totally shit the bed with adapting the book, there's plenty of fireballs and explosions and people being badass as all hell.

i remember seeing the trailer when it first came out and i was so fricking excited about it. as soon as i realized it was almost time for it to start, i got all giddy again. this is definitely one of my favorite genres and it feels like this is that time of media up and down where fantasy isn't as in vogue as it used to be. lot of tech stuff and all and that's great, but i miss a good fantasy. (shadowhunters starts next week as well and i'm curious if that'll be good as well)

i might come back here after i see the eps and leave an opinion.

I would drop my game in a hot second if I could get a semi-reliable partner to psl my ship with me, no regrets at all
