does anyone know where to find a good visualosities code for both gifs and still images (preferably allowing for 500x width)? my old one randomly decided to shit itself.

My usual one is 3 columns with 300 widths, personally I think it looks the snazziest:

But for 500 width you'd be better served with just 2 columns on most monitors I think:

Or if you'd rather just do one line of visualosities instead of making it complicated, either just throw in a center tag and your images (with a width="something uniform"), or keep the table:
