Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

may i ask what type of character you're playing, anon? just a general rundown. what kind of cr is sought in the game? what types of characters seem to struggle more?

and one final question, do the mia canon characters create hardship or plot holes or hold back more major plots? i'm asking this one because i've been in a smaller game before where this was a huge issue.

thanks for weighing in above with a different perspective.

I'd like to chime in and say that I have had a much easier time getting CR and tags here than in some of my other games. Even ones I'm playing canon characters in (In Fade Rift, I play one of the legion of elf OCs). There are a few characters that take a long time for threads, and once they're identified, it's easy to just skip around plot things with them. I've found that it is a pretty fast moving game, once you get the right circle.

I would say that the most sought after characters are the canon ones. In particular, the Inquisition canon characters. Outside of that, I know that a lot of people are excited about the prospect of negative CR--the pro-circle mages and templars are pretty sought after, but you have to be okay with getting a lot of negative stuff.

The canon advisors that we don't have are generally handwaved as being there but attending their duties, and the companions are off on a quest together. It hasn't created any issues that I've seen so far.

hmmm. hmmmm. gosh, you guys make it sound tempting. after holiday craziness is over for me this month, i'll give it some serious consideration. the premise and setting seem like a lot of fun and as long as everybody isn't super slow, i think i could sustain interest. thanks!
