rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

what's making you feel like you need to change? do you need a fresh game? a new circle of friends? maybe try making a new plurk and going in to a brand new game. tag strangers on memes. try some things you've never done before. or are you bored with dw rp completely? maybe you need a new place to rp. we do get pretty samey sometimes.

personally, i changed mine not too long ago. had a fight with someone who holds a grudge forever and is more than happy to paint me as something i'm not. i don't even want to rp in the same games or fandoms as them, i'm just not comfortable with them being able to locate me, watch me, and shit talk me to their heart's content. it's easier for everyone if they think i stopped rping. been good so far!

I am thinking it's the former. I've been mostly inactive on dwrp for a while tbh and every time I try to get back into it under [current identity] it feels like it fizzles out, in part because I depend on my current dwrp friends for interaction/tagging and they have their own shit going on with games so that often doesn't get very far. I am tdming on a new game rn tbh, I might see how that goes if I don't use plurk for interaction. Maybe just use aim/pms.

I'm glad your change is working for you, though! That sounds like a totally shitty situation to be in.

This sounds a lot like the situation I'm in. I don't use plurk anymore and it's only made connecting that much more difficult for me. I don't really want to join any of the games out right now, but it feels like it's the only options to get even vaguely consistent tags anymore!
