rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. The bell is basically the same thing as your mother using your full name. or grabbing the vinegar bottle when a young child is being bitey.

I'm looking at what I'm given. You're projecting and obviously have some issues with your own home life if you think training your kid with a bell like you would do for a dog or a cat is okay.

No you really are.

What you are given is that instead of yelling, threatening, spanking, whipping, belting, grabbing a switch from the yard, cutting, breaking, slamming, tossing, drowning, throwing, and any other physical ways of punishing someone. All of which were ways to get a kid to stop misbehaving. What this is is the same thing as if her father said "Pacifica Elise Northwest" to get her to stop. It's the same exact thing.

Pavlovian conditioning is to create an unnatural response from a random stimuli. IE. drool from a bell. It is not stopping something.

Theres another word for what that is and it's the same thing as a parent shouting your full name when they are mad at you.

I really do hope you aren't getting beaten at home because you think this is abusive.

I agree with you anon. This is emotional abuse at its finest and the other anon is either trolling or genuinely stupid to think it's not. This is the kind of thing that messes children up for life regardless of their class. Whether a bell or a slap, Pacifica is still being told to remain silent so that the ~adults can talk. This is abuse. If a spouse did this to another, it would be abuse. It's plain abuse. It's not beating your kids up physically but it's messing them up forever.
