hey, for those of you in smut games, how do you handle playing virgin characters? do you just sort of ignore it and go on rping like any more experienced character? i'm mainly wondering if it's skeevy to draw attention to it at all, like "hey this is my first time shagging"

i like playing out first times. it's a thing of mine. so i generally like to find someone else that doesn't mind being that first time experience for my char. after that, it's up to you how you want to roll.

Some games draw attention to it by their nature if you take too long anyways, and I like playing them out myself. As long as you aren't all obsessed with weird purity stuff no one's going to mind or find it skeevy, in my experience.

or find someone who "defiling the pure virgin" is their kink

i think it largely depends on the kind of character you play. when i played a virgin character in a smut game, she sort of approached this as "this is something that i just need to do/it's my duty to do this so that i can stay alive" but she was still nervous, so basically what ended up happening was that she found someone that she felt she could trust to not make a big deal out of it and gave him a small heads up so that he could take the lead and that was that.

basically it only has to be as awkward as IC dictates imo, but no i don't think it's skeevy to have your character mention it or to show it in the way they perform. just as long as you, as a player, don't turn it into a gross fetish thing and focus on it to an unwarranted degree, you'll be fine.

It's definitely not skeevy at all! A lot of people play characters who are virgins in sex games, and there are people out there who like getting to play the exploratory aspect of a character learning about sex for the first time.

Just communicate with your rp partners so they know going in your character will be inexperienced, and then have them build up that experience over time in the game.

Of course, depending on the character, even a virgin can still know a lot of stuff from looking it up on their own (eg assuming a teenager from a modern day earth looking at porn) if you just want to avoid playing a character as too vanilla.

That being said, if you play a character would is so innocent that they don't even known what sex is, you might get judged a little for that.

a character being childishly ignorant to the point of not understanding what sex even is or where penises go or whatever would be considered creepy as fuck though

i mean what if it'd be ic for a character to literally not know what sex is due to their backstory

mature enough to handle it but they'd need to be brought up to speed

i think there's probably a way to do that that isn't childish, though

also, some characters are just going to creep people out if they're in a sex game and you can't really do anything about that. you'd have to decide if being in the game with that character is worth some people being creeped out at first.

but i would argue those characters don't belong in a sex game

i play a character that doesn't know much beyond the general basics of sex in that it's supposed to be about babymaking. i enjoy playing having them get to know more about it. they're an adult. they're just isolated and uninformed. my partners don't seem to mind having to be the one to break them in either, so really, it's just about being upfront about it and finding people who want to play that.

i had someone decide to sell their virginity, that was entertaining
