if the number of posts is your issue, you're just going to have to suck it up, anon. cap or not, the game is going to stay big for a good long while. it's exactly what a lot of people are looking for.

continued cr lines
a multitude of characters to pick from
oc friendly
potential for plot for those that want it
monthly events everyone can get involved in
consensual situations

memes don't offer that kind of stability as a whole, so this game is a good fit for people that want to get their smut/cuddle/happy on without needing it to be fuck or die/dubcon. it's easy to stay in and meet ac and out of the massive amount of characters involved, anyone can find a handful at least to make cr with. with as many people as the game has in and with it likely to keep growing, you're just going to have to deal with there being a lot of posts, both via the network and logs. it's an active game and even if people do a catchall every month or two for their chars, that's a lot of characters to post. hell, even if only half post...

it's not the amount of posts or people in game, anon, I really didn't need the rant. I just feel like the last test drive happened yesterday and now the mods are announcing the next one and that reserves + apps will be happening in the next two weeks. you listed low pressure as one of the things people find appealing, and I do too, and at the moment (probably due to the sheer size of the last round, as I've said) it feels like the overall game cycle is too fast and therefore pressured.

I just wanted to see if anyone else felt the same. either way the cap might resolve it, as the other anons have said.

the cycle has nothing to do with you if you're already in game. it comes once a month, like it always does. it's four days before the last month's one. the cycle's not speeding up. this is just the time of year where shit is happening and it makes everything else seem like it's going by really quickly. i myself was surprised to see the tdm because it felt like it had just happened, but then i realized that it hadn't and i didn't think any more of it.

other people coming in shouldn't be some game-halting mechanic for you. it shouldn't rush you or even have anything to do with you unless you have a potential castmate. the game cycle itself is fine as it is. there is just a lot going on. and it's all non-obligatory. you don't have to tag into the monthly event or the tdm or the welcome log. you're not going to get kicked out of the game or pointed out as squatting if you don't. even if they had apps open continuously, it shouldn't make a difference to you as a player in the game. tag what you want where you want with who you want. newbies coming in every month shouldn't concern you.

actually it does effect me because the test drive meme isn't just for potentials to play amongst themselves and the application round means the meet and greet log, again not just for newbies to play amongst themselves. I know both are optional but I have in the past tried to play on them to welcome people to the game and right now it feels like things are rolling around too fast. and you bombarding me with two semi-aggressive paragraphs of reasons why it shouldn't concern me isn't helpful in the slightest.

no one is bending your arm to make you go play in the test drive. it kind of is for new potentials to play among themselves. if those already in game want to join them, it's by choice and not a mandated goddamn thing.

here's the deal; you're sitting here talking about the game being 'too fast' because you feel like you're not able to be as 'welcoming' as you want to be. that's not on the game, anon. that's on you. you do not need to personally welcome each new character into the game. it doesn't concern you, but you're making it your business and then trying to make it seem like it's the game's fault for not grinding along at the pace that best suits you.

but wow you sound like a douchecanoe. anon was just asking who shared their opinions, and i know other people do. you're reacting like they just bit you in the butt. where do you get off telling someone to leave a game? we've all had to adjust to the massive and rapid recent growth and it is making it seem like the tdm has come around faster. that might change with the cap but right now it's a lot at once.

i said go back to amat. i never said they had to leave eudio. just don't expect the game to grind to a halt just because they can't be the game's personal welcoming committee.

Where were they asking for the game to grind to a halt? Like you've said, we're a big game with monthly events. Alternate month apps wouldn't hurt.

it was voted on, and vetoed. people want easy access to a game like this. it's not plot heavy enough to need two whole months for people to recover from the events of the months before. half, if not more of the game doesn't even play in the monthly events, so maybe people that are feeling burned out/rushed/overwhelmed need to just trim their activity and stop trying to have everything.

makes me wonder if they're not the same ones complaining about cliques.

When the game was smaller. Maybe it needs to be voted on again.

The game voted for alternate month apps. The mods overruled. It's not what people wanted, it's what the mods decided. Another vote would be fair.

it was a close enough tie and it was actually when the game had bimonthly apps. mods can call preference on that, as was brought up when it happened.

sure. go tell the mods they should vote again because more people feel they have a right to decide how they run their game.

easy access landed us 200 apps and now the mods have implemented a cap. alternate month apps would be much the same level of management and impediment, even if both were put in place.

so instead of a potential 60 every month, you want 60 every two months? that sounds fair. not at all like you're trying to make it harder for other people to join the fun.

it's already hard enough for some since all the popular spots are taken and people sometimes have to either come up with alts or new chars entirely just to get in. sure. make them jump through more hoops so you can make sure that it's running to your standards

if you have a popular character, spots in games will be taken fast. welcome to life, friend.

and with as many chars in game as there are, even the not so popular spots will be taken. five hundred characters is a lot. anyone who wants to play in the game has to either wait for 'their' char to drop, if that happens, or come up with a char that isn't taken. not always as easy for people that don't have a hundred muses.

so join a different game where they're not? i really have no idea what your point is.
