Yeah, after I found that out, I basically lost any faith I might have had in Greer as a mod.

if greer is this terrible, she shouldn't be a mod

playing devil's advocate here, but who's to say greer was the only one with a hand in it? maybe she does have a personal bias, but from this and the wg thread it seems like there were plenty of legitimate deets against her. it's always possible it was another mod's decision too.

the problem is that the mods aren't being transparent about why trace was banned and we know that greer has beef with trace. sometimes if it looks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's a duck.

no way, the mods all had a say in it and, while the personal experiences of everyone must have been shared, bias would never be enough to get someone permabanned from a game. there are plenty more mods than just greer who would veto that ban if it was solely based on a grudge the rest of them didn't agree with. trace doesn't have the most stellar track record with a lot of people. you can't say the ban wasn't justified.

Trace reserves and like 10 minutes later she's banned? You can't tell me the mods all had a say in the discussion - I don't even know if all of the mods were awake at the time. The ban might have been justified, but don't act like they all got together and formed a fucking panel to discuss it.

I like most of our mod team. I trust almost all of them, even the new ones. But this stinks of grudgewank and it's soured my opinion of Greer.

Trace has made it obvious for a lot more than that ten minutes that she intended to app, giving mods plenty of time to discuss it and players like me plenty of time to explain their discomfort with her being there. There was no point in doing anything about it until she actually made an effort to join the game.

while I can't be 100% sure that Greer didn't have a major hand in this decision, I can tell you with certainty that it wasn't the only determining factor. I know of several players already in the game that spoke up to the mods when they saw trace sniffing around the mod plurk and brainstorming other characters she could app besides will. there's plenty of people in the game that trace has burned in one way or another, and it's not fair to pin it all on one mod. Especially when there's no proof.

i don't give a shit how they came upon the decision as long as trace's entitled ass is banned from my game. she can kindly unlist herself as a "guaranteed" member of the game in her muselist now. :)

Eh, the deets against Trace always seem to be about how she's a bad mod and kind of a passive aggressive bitch?

Whether those deets are true or not is something I'll let you decide for yourself, but I've definitely never gotten the impression that she's ban-on-sight bad? She's never been banned from anywhere else before, to my knowledge, and plenty of games get along with her in them.

I understand not wanting someone in a game with you. I definitely understand not wanting Trace, specifically, in your game. But banning her on sight (before she even apps, no less), seems like overkill and sets a really bad precedent for her as a mod.

yeah because it was totally just one mod who had a hand in banning her, not all of us who asked them to do something about this wankaholic wanting to enter the game

But the swiftness in which she was banned makes me sideeye the hell out of that claim. This seems like an executive decision.

if you read the other comment, it said multiple players raised concerns as soon as trace made plurks about apping and showed up in the mod plurk

and she's been talking about apping for a while. weeks maybe? its possible that people complained to the mods days and days ago but the mods didn't do anything until trace actually made a move to app.

There's no point in banning her until she actively makes a move to join the game. When she reserved, she made that move, and got banned.

there are FIVE MODS, this is not a decision one mod makes. and of course they're not coming forward with personal info. trace probably has the reason and won't share it.

i know like ten people just from memory that want shit all to do with her behavior in a game, so it's not just one mod saying this

pretty much as soon as i saw her in the mod plurks and realized she was planning on joining, i went to the mods to explain why i wasn't comfortable with her in the game and gave examples and reasons to back up why. i did this over a week ago, and i know other people have also come to the ryslig mods within this time period.

this isn't some spur of the moment decision that one mod made, no matter how much trace - sorry i mean anons - try to spin it.

Yup. And the way Ryslig is set up it's impossible for one mod with a grudge to get someone permabanned. The only way someone can get banned is if ALL the mods unanimously vote for a ban.

P. sure this is just Trace being incapable of putting on her big girl panties and moving on though. The laser focus on Greer just stinks of Trace-flavored shitstirring.
