i think i've only seen the mod plurk be listed in an acceptance notice once and i've never seen it linked on the player contact page, which is where people go to add people from the game

also, not everyone goes and adds everyone from a new game. some people already have friends in the game and just accept the friend requests they get.

you're making excuses. i've actually gotten plurks listed in almost every game i've apped into. it's becoming a standard practice thing lately, as are mod/game plurks in general.

that being said, even if no one has added any mod plurk and doesn't add anyone new, if you have ONE person on your plurk list who's replurking the mod plurks/game plurks, you have access to the game plurk right there and you can stop being a lazy ass and add it yourself.

I agree, it's just an excuse. Anyone who cares will follow it and there's no reason to be replurking stuff to your timeline that includes people not in the game. Anyone who actually needs that needs to get off their lazy ass and follow the mod plurk themselves or they deserve to miss out if they are too lazy to go follow the mod plurk or see it on their reading page.

Don't be an idiot. They're saying that they don't give a fuck if, say, I plurk about my dog needing surgery and I'm taking commissions until someone else replurks it and places it onto their timeline. Similarly, they don't care if Game X makes one or fifty plurks unless they've got someone who's replurking every last one and shoving it onto their timeline.

bitching about someone replurking something is bitching about what they choose to plurk. they chose to put a thing on their timeline and you're bitching about it. pretending it's anything else is what's idiotic here. pretending that a replurk is "shoving something onto your timeline" any more than a regular plurk is fucking stupid. unfollow them or fucking deal.

not really. it's kind of like tumblrism seeping into plurk. instead of just making their own plurks, they're 'reblogging' everything that they think other people should see, instead of thinking 'hey, if someone really wanted to see this, they'd fucking follow x account'.

plurk about your own shit. don't be a chronic replurker. especially don't do this with mod accounts.

and if this is just someone that's otherwise okay aside from replurking every mod thing... why unfollow? just point out 'hey, don't do that'.

And I am dealing, personally speaking, by banning game plurks when they grow excessive. I don't bitch, I just blacklist your shit. It's efficient and it gets the job done.

However, it's pretty stupid that I'm in this position in the first place because some overly enthused people who can't think don't realize that odds are if you have 150 people on your timeline and only 20 of them are in your game, the other 130 probably don't give a fuck that the mods have the new event up.
