Seriously, plenty of sources that know their animals consider fish to be animals. Scientifically speaking, animal is defined by the class the species belongs to and all fish belong to the same one every other animal belongs to.

Anon upthread, and actually I mentioned that fish are vertebrates because all vertebrates are animals, but not all invertebrates are. Some invertebrates are, but a very large number are not. But the main part of the topic is are fish animals, and they definitely are. That and what we eat from them is meat as much as chicken, pork and beef are. Vegetarians who eat fish aren't really vegetarians because they are eating meat from an animal.
